How to order your medication
from PillTime - an NHS Pharmacy Service

Step 1: Get online to order

To get started, you have two convenient options for ordering your medications:

Option A:

You can order by logging in to your online PillTime account:

https://portal.pilltime.co.uk/

Option B:

Download the free PillTime Ordering App. Available on both iOS and Android, this tool is your first step in taking control of your medication ordering.

The benefits of using the PillTime app: Our app isn’t just convenient—it offers several advantages. With direct links to your GP and the NHS, you can review what your GP has prescribed and place your orders for prompt delivery.

Choosing other ordering apps: Don’t worry. You can also use any other ordering app, including the NHS or your surgery’s systems.

PillTime’s role in your medication ordering: We no longer order medication on behalf of patients. You’re taking charge of your medication ordering by using the PillTime Prescription Ordering App or any other preferred app. This way, we enable you to manage your health needs effectively.

Step 2: Place the order

We recommend ordering all your medications together to ensure efficiency in your medication management. This lets us carefully synchronise and organise your prescriptions into a single package. Once your GP approves your prescription, we will prepare your order.

Organised pouches: Your medications will be sorted into individual pouches, clearly labelled with the precise date and time for each dose. This system ensures you never miss a dose and stay on track with your medication schedule.

Comprehensive care package: For non-pouchable medications, creams, inhalers, and dressings, we include a comprehensive care package tailored just for you. This way, everything you need is conveniently available in one place.

Monthly reordering is necessary to ensure you receive all the required items. This system also prevents medicine waste and helps conserve valuable NHS resources.

Reorder reminders: We’re with you every step of the way. When it’s time to reorder your medication, we’ll send you an email reminder.

Handling paper prescriptions: If your surgery still issues paper prescriptions, please post these to PillTime Ltd, Units 7 & 8, The Laurels, Cribbs Causeway Centre, Bristol BS10 7TT. Allow extra time for postal delivery to ensure your medication reaches you when needed.

Fetching your prescriptions: After you’ve requested your medication, your GP will approve your order using the NHS electronic prescription system. The prescriptions are then sent via this system to your chosen pharmacy, in this case, PillTime.

Checking your order status: Are you curious about your order’s progress? You can check its status right from your app. If the order was placed within the last five days, you’ll see whether your GP has authorised your request. For orders over five days, log into your online account and check under ‘Recent Orders’. If your request has yet to be approved, don’t hesitate to get in touch with your GP surgery.
